Instagram: Updates like TikTok will take a step back

Social media platform Instagram has taken a step back in updates that “likened the app to TikTok” and drew the reaction of a large number of users and influencers. According to the news in the BBC, the “Recommended videos” tab similar to TikTok on Instagram caused the content that they did not follow on the users’ pages to come to the fore and they could not see their own friends.

Many high-follower names, including the Kardashian brothers, reacted to Instagram’s new update and demanded that it be reinstated. Meta, the parent company of Instagram, said that it will take a step back, “it takes time to get the changes right”.

“We definitely need to take a big step back and regroup,” Instagram executive Adam Mosseri said in a statement. Said. “I think more and more of Instagram will turn into video,” Mosseri said in a statement earlier on the backlash. He said.
