James Webb viewed Jupiter this time

The number of photos taken with the James Webb Space Telescope, developed under the leadership of NASA, the US Aeronautics and Space Administration, is increasing.

The James Webb Space Telescope has captured images of Jupiter showing auroras like never before. The image provided by NASA was taken at the observatory about 1 million 609 km away, obtained by the James Webb Space Telescope on July 27, 2022.

Jupiter’s auroras extend beyond the planet’s north and south poles. Auroras, patterns of light swirling across the sky, are formed when charged particles from the sun interact with a planet’s atmosphere and magnetic field.
